1. Controller
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this Privacy Policy is Edelvault SA.
2. Personal data we collect
We may collect personal data that you provide to us directly, including your name, email address, company, role, telephone number, message content, meeting preferences, and any other information you choose to share through the contact form, email, or a call-booking workflow.
We may also collect limited technical data when you use the website, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, timestamps, referring pages, and security logs. This helps us operate, secure, and improve the website.
Please do not send confidential investment instructions, sensitive personal data, wallet credentials, private keys, or other information that is not necessary for your enquiry through the website forms.
3. How we use personal data
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- to respond to enquiries and maintain business communications;
- to arrange meetings and follow up on requests;
- to assess whether our services may be relevant to your organisation;
- to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website;
- to keep internal business records and comply with legal, regulatory, accounting, and risk-management obligations;
- to protect our rights, users, systems, and services.
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, the legal bases for processing may include your consent, steps taken before entering into a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating our business, communicating with professional contacts, and protecting our systems.
When you request the white paper, access to the knowledge wiki or information about the 2027 edition, we use your email address and any optional information you provide to handle that request, send related messages and follow up. Wiki access is reviewed by the Edelvault team. A request does not subscribe you to marketing, confirm event participation or automatically grant wiki access.
The white-paper download link can be reused and shared. It does not require a reader account.
4. Cookies and third-party services
The website may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for WordPress functionality, security, form processing, and basic performance. Optional measurement is controlled by independent choices in Privacy settings.
When analytics is enabled and you accept it, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, traffic sources, approximate location, device information, page engagement, registration-link clicks and successful enquiries. Analytics cookies are used only after acceptance. We do not send form contents, names or email addresses to Analytics. Registration-link clicks do not confirm an external event registration.
If you separately accept LinkedIn campaign measurement, the LinkedIn Insight Tag runs on approved pages to measure visits and campaign conversions and to build a website retargeting audience. LinkedIn may receive page URLs, referrers, IP address, device and browser information, timestamps, and interaction details such as button clicks or form submissions. Our custom conversion events send a numeric conversion ID only, without names, email addresses, form contents, or assigned monetary values. We do not enable enhanced matching.
You can accept or reject Google Analytics and LinkedIn independently without affecting access to the site or its forms. Use Privacy settings in the footer to change or withdraw either choice. Your choices are stored in this browser for six months. Withdrawal stops future measurement after the page reloads and removes cookies accessible to this site; it cannot erase measurements already collected or cookies controlled by LinkedIn. Form communications consent is separate.
Google processes Analytics data and may process it outside Switzerland, including in the United States. Our intended GA4 configuration retains user and event data for 14 months; aggregated reports may remain available longer. Advertising features and Google Signals are disabled. See Google’s Privacy Policy for Google’s processing practices. Withdrawal does not erase measurements already collected.
LinkedIn may process campaign measurement data outside Switzerland. See LinkedIn’s Privacy Policy and Insight Tag data information for its processing practices.
Our website loads Google Fonts. When fonts are requested from Google servers, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser data. If you use a link to book a call through Calendly, Calendly processes the information you provide under its own terms and privacy policy.
Knowledge wiki sign-in cookies
The wiki uses first-party cookies to perform the sign-in you request and maintain your approved session:
evr_pendingassociates a pending sign-in with the browser that requested it. Duration: ten minutes; refreshed when starting another sign-in.evr_readeridentifies an approved wiki session. Duration: seven days, or 90 days if you choose “Remember this device”.
These cookies are limited to the wiki path and are separate from analytics preferences. Rejecting analytics does not prevent sign-in. Signing out ends the current reader session; the team can revoke access before the cookie expires. A new approval does not restore a previously revoked session.
5. Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell personal data. We may share personal data with hosting providers, website and form service providers, email providers, scheduling providers, IT and security vendors, professional advisors, auditors, banks, regulators, public authorities, or counterparties where necessary for the purposes described above.
Some providers may process data outside Switzerland, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, including in countries that may not provide the same level of data protection. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, contractual protections, standard contractual clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
We use Descope’s United States region to verify your email sign-in and Google Workspace to deliver transactional messages. Our website sends your email address and sign-in request information to Descope; Descope returns the verification result to our website. Approval to use the wiki is managed separately by Edelvault. Only approve a sign-in you started. Sign-in links expire after ten minutes.
6. Retention and security
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to handle enquiries, maintain business records, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
We keep request records for 90 days after submission. Approved reader accounts and their access-decision history remain until deleted; they do not expire because a request record has been removed. You can contact hello@edelvault.com to ask about your information, request deletion or withdraw access. Revoking access immediately prevents further use of the protected wiki, but does not by itself delete your account.
Authentication, email delivery, security logs and backups can create records with our service providers. Deleting a website request does not automatically remove email copies, provider accounts, security logs or backups. We handle deletion requests across the services involved, subject to the applicable retention requirements.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No website, email, or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request information about the personal data we process, access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and receive certain data in a portable format.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority, including the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner where applicable.
8. Contact and updates
